Alberto Lombardi was born and raised in Forli, a small town in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy. In 1973, after traveling the world and working in Italy, Belgium, Germany and on cruise ships, he put down roots in Dallas, Texas, where he opened his first restaurant, Lombardi's.

The original Lombardi's restaurant was an homage to the northern Italian cuisine he grew up with in Forli. Comfortable and charming in its approach, the bistro on McKinney Avenue left a mark on Dallas, where the restaurant was one of the first in an area now known for its culinary scene.

Since then, Lombardi has become a nationally-renowned restaurateur having opened numerous successful dining concepts in locations not just across Texas, but the United States. Ranging from Italian trattorias to French bistros, his neighborhood restaurants offer more than just a delicious meal; they provide a special place where customers feel at home. This year, 2020, marks Lombardi's 43 years as a restaurant owner and he welcomes you to Bistro 31!

With more than 30 years in the hospitality industry, Michael began his journey as a restaurant busser, at age 15. His extensive knowledge of the front and back of the house stems from his years of experience in various roles.  This experience is what sets Michael apart, as he leads his teams at Bistro 31 and Lounge 31. Part of that knowledge he shares with his employees and patrons is through his International Sommelier Guild, Level 1& 2, certification. His dedication and passion is seen not only seen by the people that work with him, but by the clientele at Bistro and Lounge 31. 

Kevin Weeks

Lounge 31 - General Manager

Kevin is a graduate from Texas Tech University with a major in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management and a minor in Public Relations.  He has 24 years of experience in many facets of the restaurant industry.  He has lead fine dining restaurants in Chicago, Miami and of course Dallas.  He has assisted to open five successful restaurants in the last three years here in Uptown Dallas.

Chef Henry Johnson

Bistro 31 - Executive Chef

An Air Force veteran and honors graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Henry brings a wealth of experience from his associations with noteworthy restaurants such as Cafe Pacific, Cowboys Club and Fox Restaurant Concepts.

Henry has a deep passion for food and family with his wife Jessica and there daughter Reagan. He is excited to have joined the Lombardi team!

Marque Strohlin

LFC Catering Director

Beginning her career with Stephan Pyles, she quickly rose through the ranks from host to manager to becoming their Event Coordinator. It was here that Marque found her true passion for events and working with guests. After a few years with Stephen Pyles, as their Event Coordinator, she was provided the opportunity to head up an events program at a large indoor/outdoor music venue in Uptown Dallas. Marque explained that she was able to gain knowledge of the event's business outside of restaurants, which she feels was extremely valuable. After years of gaining a combination of fine dining and casual event experience, Marque joined the team at Bistro 31 and Lounge 31 when she became our Catering Director. After a couple of years, she was awarded the opportunity to handle all the off-site catering for Lombardi Family Concepts, as well as to continue to service all the amazing clients at Bistro 31 and Lounge 31. It is Marque's special attention to detail and heart that has our guests coming back time after time to work with her.
